OKLAHOMA BOUDOIR: ANONYMOUS BABE MISS S

What inspired you to do a shoot?

There were so many major life milestones and tragedies happening all at once. Divorce, moving half way across the country, starting a new job, and learning to adjust to Oklahoma life. I was pretty miserable. One morning I woke up and  chose to regain my confidence and peace of mind. I wanted to capture this moment in time to serve a reminder that hard times don't last. I hope my 2 girls can look at these pictures one day and be like "damn that's my strong ass mom! Get it girl." :)

Why did you choose Adoralee?

The positivity and women empowerment radiates from your social media and I wanted nothing more than to have a small piece of it.

Were you nervous and why?

Believe it or not, I was not nervous. Hardest part was picking an outfit that was sexy but also comfortable. Totally in my "fuck it" era of life so I guess it's only fitting.

What was the best part about your experience?

The coaching through poses, relaxing and calm environment, and the photos themself! I felt comfortable from the moment I was greeted at the door.

What would you say to someone considering a boudoir shoot?

Just go for it. You will be surprised by the art that comes out of just doing it- both in the photos captured and also in the art of doing something that may or may not be comfortable. Growth will come from it and you will look back and be like "damn I really just did that." I can promise it will be a positive experience and Adoralee will make you feel like a confident supermodel.

How did it impact how you view yourself?

It impacted me in the way in which I see my body. Having 2 kids and getting lost in years of being a mom has been a challenge, but seeing myself in photos reminded me of how strong and good my body has been to me. Health isn't something to take for granted and I am grateful to have photos and representation. Again, something I can use to show my girls when they are grown- to love themselves and the body they have.
